protein in this bowl
Protein that behaves like an ingredient, not a supplement.
It goes into home-cooked food with all the other spices. 10g of protein added per spoonful, and nobody at the table can tell.

/hel-dee/adj. how my nani says “healthy.”
Vanishes clean into every gravy, dal and yoghurt base. No chalk, no aftertaste.
THEY SHAKE. WE STIR.
Every dish on tonight's table takes a spoonful. Nothing changes but the protein.

HOW IT WORKS
Once the pouch is open, you can stop shaking and start stirring. These are the ways Heldi works best, and every one of them is just three steps.

THE HONEST TRUTH
So the bowl you actually eat lands closer to 6g. Protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass, and that matters more every year past 30. Here is the honest fix.
94% whey protein isolate. The rest, warm spices you already know.
FOR YOU
FOR THE FAMILY
FOR PARENTS & GRANDPARENTS
HELDI VS THE SHAKER
The first protein made with spices and flavours Indians actually like. Shakes were never developed for the desi palate, here are a few more reasons to give Heldi a try.
How you take it
One spoonful, stirred into your plate
Shake, gulp, rinse, repeat
Aftertaste
None. It disappears into the masala
Fake vanilla until your next chai
Flavours
Warm spices you already cook with
Birthday Cake Blast™
On the label
94% whey protein isolate, then warm spices
Sweeteners, gums and 'natural flavourings'
Washing up
A spoon
That shaker. You know the smell.
Who it feeds
The whole table
Whoever owns the shaker

My nani never said healthy. She said heldi. Warm food, made with care, made for you. That is where the name comes from.

Read our story →Protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass, which declines gradually from your 30s onward. A typical home-cooked vegetarian day delivers 35 to 45g, while an active adult needs 75g or more. That gap, eaten daily for decades, is what Heldi closes.
Yes, and it is made without animal rennet. Whey is the pale liquid left when milk curdles, the same one you see when paneer is made at home. We simply filter it to concentrate the protein and gently dry it into a fine powder. Nothing added, just the part of milk that has always been there.
Heldi contains no meat, no alcohol and no animal rennet. The whey is a dairy ingredient, the same family as milk and paneer. We do not yet hold a formal halal certificate. If certification matters to your table, email info@heldi.co.uk and we will tell you exactly where things stand.
Usually, yes. Heldi uses whey protein isolate, filtered to 98% lactose-free. A spoonful carries barely any lactose, roughly 0.3g, far less than traditional whey concentrate and a fraction of what is in a glass of milk. Most lactose-intolerant people handle that amount without trouble. A confirmed dairy allergy is different: Heldi contains milk, so it is not for you.
You can, if you like them. Most of our parents don't. Heldi hits the same protein number through the meals you were going to eat anyway. Same dal, same raita, ten more grams per bowl. Nothing new to swallow, nothing to give up.
No. The spices are designed to disappear into the dish, not sit on top of the flavour. Heldi blends clean into what you already cook. No chalky film, no protein-shake aftertaste.
Once the pot is done cooking and has cooled a little, stir the powder straight into the full dal, curry or raita and mix it through. Or leave the jar on the table and let each person add as much as they like to their own bowl. One to two spoonfuls per dish is the sweet spot.
Yes. Anything with a gravy, a dal or a yoghurt base works, sambar, kadhi, korma, bhindi in gravy, even a chaat with dahi on top. Non-veg pots too: chicken curry, keema and egg bhurji all take a spoonful for an extra protein boost. If a spoon can stir it, Heldi can disappear into it.
Yes. Whey is a part of milk, the same protein kids already get from dahi and paneer, and protein is part of every balanced diet. Nothing artificial, no sweeteners, no caffeine. If the family pot gets a spoonful, everyone eats from it. Growing kids get what they need from normal meals, so there is no need to add extra to their bowls.
Heldi is designed for the whole table. Protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass, and the isolate is 98% lactose-free, 100% vegetarian and free from added sugar, preservatives and gluten.
Heldi is almost entirely protein: no added sugar and under 1g of carbohydrate per spoonful. We cannot give medical advice, so if you manage diabetes, show the label to your GP or dietitian. It fits in the palm of a hand, take it with you.
WITH EVERY ORDER
Every pouch order ships with a refillable jar for the dinner table. Not the cupboard. Right there beside the dal, where everyone can reach for it. It comes in gold, and only gold. We did look at silver, for about four minutes, and then we remembered whose table it was going on.

One email the day we launch, with 20% off your first order inside.
